This diminutive, trailing violet, with blooms of purple and white, is suited for warmer climates where it puts on a show from summer well into fall. In fact, it blooms in my greenhouse 12 months of the year. Of course, it can be grown in any zone in summer, but it will not be perennial except in the warmer zones, so growing it as an annual or moving it indoors in winter should be considered. It would also make an ideal candidate for a planter or hanging basket. It grows to about six inches tall with a spread of at least 12 inches. Partial shade. This Aussie likes soil on the moist side, so be vigilant to not let it dry out. (Zones 7-9).
