Before the blooms unfurl, they are a strong peachy pink. When open, the backs of the petals are pinker than the front, but the fronts are pink with splashes of deeper pink, particularly on the lower petals. This is not a registered violet cultivar. It is a chance seedling here some years ago and is named for my grandmother who loved flowers and had a beautiful garden with deep red roses and, of course, violets.
