Viola odorata "Diana Groves" definitely stands out in a crowd.  When in bloom, its bright purple blooms washed in claret red seem almost alight, and they definitely catch the eye.  The blooms are large and fragrant.  This one is my favorite purple violet and stands out from all the rest.  (Groves Nursery, 1998)  Gold medal winner of the 1st International Violet Congress, Toulouse 2004.
