New for 2025

"Coquette" appeared here in the nursery as a seedling nestled inside a pot of "Josephine."  It was a happy surprise, but I've learned not to be too hasty trying to discover new cultivars, so I've kept mum and also an eye on this one for several years and now have a few to add to the plant list.  "Coquette," is what I've decided to call this violet because it is just that - a coquette and a big flirt.  The blooms are large, long, and twisty.  They open with a bang of pink/violet/white swirled together.  It is almost too much to bear at first, but then it settles down and becomes more subdued.   It is scented, of course, and pure delight.  (Violetsblew 2024)
