"Billy Hooper" is derived from a chance seedling in my greenhouse about five years ago, and I monitored it for a couple of years before adding it to the violet list. It is a lovely whisper pink sometimes kissed with lavender. And that's not all: this enchanting violet also has large, fragrant blooms. "BillyHooper" is not a registered name but is the name I have given it since it appeared here in Grassy Creek among my collection of violets. It is named for my father who would have liked the idea very much. (Gardens in the Wood of Grassy Creek 2018) Zones 4-9.
