This flowers of this particular seed strain of Aquilegia vulgaris, native to Europe,  are in the purple/blue range.  This is beautiful, and I urge you to let it reseed or sow the seeds yourself and plant it anywhere you choose.  I have grown this in my garden for many years and I still find a seedling here and there from long ago.  It blooms in summer atop 1-2 feet wiry stems, and there is not one place on earth that it will not enhance.  Zones 3-8.  Information about sowing your own Columbine seeds is in the description for Aquilegia canadensis.
