Another lovely Aquilegia but this time one that's native to the Southwestern United States.  I wonder if the folks there like their native Columbine as much as I like ours?  It is a clear yellow and grows from one to three feet tall, blooming from late spring to early summer.  It is pollinated by bees, moths, and butterflies.   Zones 4-8.  Note:  It is recommended to grow different species of Columbine widely separated to prevent cross-pollination.  I have never done this and have never encountered cross-pollination, but it's good to know.  Information about sowing Columbine seeds can be found in the description of Aquilegia canadensis.
